Haight Ashbury Music Center carries one of the largest selections of acoustic and electric guitars of any independent music store on the West Coast. Whether you're looking for a solidbody, hollow body, semi-hollow, electric acoustic or lap steel, we have a guitar to meet your musical needs.

We typically stock 700-800 guitars, both new and used, in many different makes and models. Every guitar is set up by our techs before it goes out on the floor. Our guitars cover all styles: rock, metal, blues, jazz, latin, rockabilly, classical, folk, and more. Our electrics include midi-ready and synth guitars, as well as popular reissues, vintage, and road worn styles. We offer classic styles such as Tele, Strat, 335, Les Paul, 6120 - and many, many others. The store has a separate audition room for acoustic and electric acoustic guitars, and we carry many classical and spanish style models. Our vast selection includes standard and baritone 6 string guitars, 12 string and 4 string (tenor) models, and covers the spectrum from student grade starter guitars to top of the line concert instruments.

We also carry a broad range of essential guitar accessories, including picks, strings, straps, cases, gig bags, effects pedals, digital tuners and cables. And we stock a sizeable assortment of replacement parts, like pickups, tuning keys, pickguards and bridges.

In addition, we carry a wide selection of other stringed instruments, such as banjos, mandolins and ukuleles.
