Haight Ashbury Music Center carries a large assortment of reference and instructional books, CDs and DVDs. These resources cover a range of topics, including formal music theory, instrument lessons, tutorials on recording and more. We also offer an extensive collection of sheet music, artist songbooks and legal fake books. In addition, the store carries a range of music magazines, covering guitar, bass, drums, keyboards and recording.

For many players, do-it-yourself instruction is an effective and economical way to learn and improve. But sometimes you need a good music teacher, particularly if you're just starting out.
